"Price for Freedom" is based on the true story and best selling novel by Dr. Marc Benhuri, Price for Freedom recounts the harrowing saga of an ordinary man swept up in terrifying events that forced him to react in extraordinary ways.  His story personalizes a very tumultuous moment in world history. Originally working as a dentist for the Shah of Iran, Dr. Victor Daniels went on to establish the largest car manufacturing plants in Iran.  Then the Revolution hit.  A prosperous, progressive society was destroyed and a country ruined.  And Victor’s life was ruined too.  On the personal order of Ayatollah Khomeini, Victor’s manufacturing plants were attacked and destroyed, killing or wounding over 150 of his factory workers.
The murderous rampages spread throughout Iran.  Victor’s father was imprisoned and tortured.  His brother-in-law was murdered.  All this was done on the orders of the tyrannical Ayatollah Khomeini, who also spearheaded the formation of Hezbollah, Hamas and the Party of God in Egypt, which eventually became Al-Qaeda.
Victor decided to wage private war against the radical Islamic leadership.  He used his own money.  He used politics.  He used manipulation.  He even created his own underground railroad.
When a close friend was shot by a firing squad, it caused the friend’s young wife to go a revenge spree, killing the Mullahs and Ayatollahs who were responsible. Victor, at great risk to his own life, managed to smuggle the young woman out of Iran and on to safety in America.  He did this as well for his widowed sister, her family, and his parents.
Finally escaping to the U.S. himself, Victor worked as on of the President Reagan advisors in US Hostage situation in Iran. He providing Reagan with the key advice that secured the release of the American hostages in Tehran. This man’s story personalizes a very tumultuous moment in world history.

Starring Navid Negahban (Homeland, American Sniper), Paul Sorvino (Goodfellas, Nixon, The Firm), Mary Apick (Best Actress Award at Moscow Film Festival, Dead End, The Mission, Homeland), Sally Kirkland (Academy Award nominee, Anna, JFK), Martin Kove (Karate Kid, Rambo),  Joanne Baron  (Spiderman 2, Universal Soldier), Mandy Bruno Bogue (Guiding Light), Vachik Mangassarian (Mentalist), Ken Davitian (Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan), Herzl Tobey (You Don't Mess With The Zohan), and Eric Etebari (2 fast 2 Furious) the film tells the raw, emotional story of a Jewish businessman who will do anything to keep his family alive in a country that now hates him.
